Arrival Guidelines for International Travellers to Indonesia

During this event, pick-up (August 7th, 2022) and drop-off (August 15th, 2022) services will be available only at Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo (IATA: YIA, ICAO: WAHI). Kindly book a flight to/from Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo, for this event.
Arrival Guidelines for International Travellers to Indonesia
PRE-DEPARTURE
Before your departure, make sure that you have already:
- downloaded PeduliLindungi application,
- received a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before departure and prepared your vaccination card or certificate (written in English besides the country of origin's language) to be shown upon arrival,
- prepared a short visit visa/other entry permit (for more information about the visa application, please refer to this site), and
- own a health insurance policy which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and guarantor sponsor.
Notes:
In case you:
- are under the age of 18 years of age,
- have a diplomatic visa,
- have not received a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine after finishing COVID-19 isolation or treatment and have a medical certificate stating that you are not actively transmitting COVID-19 from a hospital in the departing country (can be in the form of COVID-19 recovery certificate), or
- have special conditions in which you cannot get the COVID-19 vaccine administered to you while having a medical certificate from a hospital in your departing country that states that you cannot get the COVID-19 vaccine administered to you,
you don’t have the obligation to show a vaccination card or certificate.
ARRIVAL - BY AIR
Once you have arrived in Indonesia, you will have to:
- get your body temperature checked,
- get your travel and quarantine documents inspected,
- get your passport and visa documents checked,
- claim your baggage (if any), and
- get checked by the customs.
QUARANTINE
Upon arrival, you will have a mandatory COVID-19 symptoms test, including a body temperature test. If you have COVID-19 symptoms and/or have a body temperature over 37.5º celsius, you must be RT-PCR tested again. The cost of this test will be paid by the government for Indonesian citizens and will be paid individually for foreigners. If you don't have any of the COVID-19 symptoms and body temperature under 37.5º, you may continue your journey with these conditions:
- If you have not received the COVID-19 vaccine or have received the first dose at least 14 days before arrival, you will be quarantined for 5 days. During your quarantine period, you will have to be tested for the exit RT-PCR test. You will get this exit RT-PCR test on day four.
- If you have received the second dose or the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before arrival, you may continue your journey without quarantine.
- If you are under the age of 18 years old, and/or need special protection, the quarantine arrangement will follow the one applied to your parents or guardian.
- If you have special conditions in which you cannot get the COVID-19 vaccine administered to you, you may continue your journey by attaching a medical certificate from a hospital in your departing country that states that you cannot get the COVID-19 vaccine administered to you.
If you are tested positive for COVID-19, then you must obey the rules set by the government about the quarantine for the positive test results.

- own a health insurance policy with a minimum coverage value set by the local government which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and guarantor sponsor.
ARRIVAL - BY AIR
Once you have arrived in Indonesia, you will have to:
- get your body temperature checked,
- get your travel and quarantine documents inspected,
- get an entry RT-PCR test by the health authority,
- get your passport and visa documents checked,
- claim your baggage (if any),
- get checked by the customs, and
- wait for your entry RT-PCR test while you stay at the hotel/quarantine location.
QUARANTINE

If you have COVID-19 symptoms and/or have a body temperature over 37.5º celsius, you must be RT-PCR tested again. Once you have arrived in Indonesia, you will have to:
- get your body temperature checked,
- get your travel and quarantine documents inspected,
- get an entry RT-PCR test by the health authority,

You will receive the entry RT-PCR test results in your hotel/quarantine location. If you are tested negative for COVID-19, you will be quarantined for:
- 7 days, if you only have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
- 3 days, if you have received the second or the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
During your quarantine period, you will have to be tested for the exit RT-PCR test. You will get this exit RT-PCR test on:
- day 6, if you only have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,
- the morning of day 3, if you have received the second or the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
If you are tested positive for COVID-19, then you must obey the rules set by the government about the quarantine for the positive test results.

- 7 days, if you only have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,
- 5 days, if you only have received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
- 3 days, if you have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
During your quarantine period, you will have to be tested for the exit RT-PCR test. You will get this exit RT-PCR test on:
- day 6, if you only have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine,
- day 4, if you only have received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
- the morning of day 3, if you have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
If you are tested positive for COVID-19, then you will be isolated for 10 days and will be tested again to determine if you can exit the isolation or not.
